  Eighteen Visions Buy it Here!

Overall Grade: 4.25 (out of 5)

One line can sum up my thoughts for this album: 2006 Album of the Year. You want something that rocks hard that will make your ears bleed? You have it here. You want your vintage ballads that seem to have disappeared today? You have it here. Group vocals, clean and dirty sound, shreddin' drums, melodies, hard riffs, jammin' bass – seriously, it is all in this album.

Let me put it this way: there is one song on the album that I did not care for, that being "Last Night". I gave that song the lowest grade possible, a "1", and the album as a whole is still way head of its next closest competitor. You take out "Last Night", and that brings the album up to an unbelievable 4.55.

I cannot say enough about this album. The band, and the producer Machine, really blew this baby out of the water. Go out and buy this album now. If you only have enough money to buy one CD, buy this one [and if you go to Best Buy, the album comes with a DVD with footage of the band making the album and the video for the song "Tonightless"]. And if you have enough money, get multiple copies: for your stereo at home, your car, your CD player at work, download it for you iPod, or give it as a gift to a friend or even your worst enemy.
