Overall: 2.71 (out of 5.0)
Sorry to say it, but this is a really disappointing
album. The biggest fault that I found again and again on multiple tracks
is that the tone of Cornell's vocals and the music did not jive or mix
whatsoever. There is no structure to the album. There are even parts on
the album where it seems Cornell is "forcing" his voice.
The title song "You Know My Name" from the newest James
Bond film Cansino Royal film doesn't do much for the album either.
There are only two good songs on this album: the single "Arms Around Your
Love" and "Your Soul Today". There is a cover of Michael Jackson's "Bille
Jean" which falls horribly short. Go to iTunes and pick up the two good
songs I mentioned – especially the single "Arms Around Your Love", it
really is a good song – but unless you are a die-hard Chris Cornell
fan, I recommend skipping out on buying this album.
