The lights went out. The sold out crowd at The Joint at the Hard Rock erupted. The guys ran out onto the stage. A little bit of a funky guitar riff, and then everything stopped. Pitch black. A red light shines in the background of the stage and the only thing you hear is "losing a whole year" and then the crowd and the music erupt simultaneously. Welcome to a rock show. Welcome to Third Eye Blind.

As the band makes their way through "Losing A Whole Year" and into "Wounded", the crowd had not settled down. And they wouldn't. For the entire 19-song, 1 hour and 50 minute set the crowd was hot.  The band serenaded the crowd with all of their hits, including "Semi-Charmed Life", "Jumper", "How's It Going To Be", "Graduate", "Never Let You Go", "Blinded". Besides covering 17 selections from their three albums, the boys played two new tracks from their upcoming fourth album.

There were plenty of special moments throughout the night. Guitarist Tony Fredianelli's son Joseph came out and rocked the stage on guitar with his Dad on "Narcolepsy". The little dude can shred! Fredianelli and drummer Brad Hargreaves had great solos during "Jumper". Singer/guitarist Stephan Jenkins was his usual animated self throughout the night. The guys also did an acoustic set on a couch, playing songs like "Can't Get Away" and "Deep Inside of You".

After two encores, the band wrapped up the evening with the gracious "God of Wine". The ending was just magical to see, as Fredianelli was raising his guitar in the air and then layin' it on the ground until the song faded out. It was an amazing set from beginning to end. If you get a chance, see the guys in concert. And I'm sure you'll agree with me after you see them once, you'll want to see them over and over again!
