I lost my day. People that paid lost at least $53. The 2007 edition of the Family Values Tour was a disaster and a waste of time.

The show started three hours late because the production crew "was late" from St. Louis the night before. Numerous of 93X personalities came out and tried to "apologize" on behalf of Family Values. Sorry, but last time I checked, an apology doesn't give me my time or money back. Due to the three hour delay, there was no 2nd stage. Some bands on the main stage got bumped off the list. And for the bands that were fortunate enough to play on the main stage? 20-minute sets each – unless, of course, you were the "headliners" Evanescene or Korn. And don't even get me started on the "headliners". I see Evanescene still plays their entire shows with sample played on a PA instead of getting an actual mixer or DJ on stage with them. Hmm…Amy Lee probably scared away any potential chance of that happening, just like she always gets the rest of her band to quit on her.

So, for the artists that look to these festivals every year because it is their chance to play in front of big crowd…artists like Five Finger Death Punch or Droid…they don't even get to play. Or for real metal acts such as Trivium, they get bumped to play only 5 songs and leave the stage in 20 minutes.

Now, if this wasn't bad enough, the production crew was working on the stage while the non-headlining bands were still playing. You would be watching Hell Yeah on stage and there is a production monkey hanging off a ladder right in the middle of the stage. And the sound? Oh gosh – it was horrid. For the first half of Flyleaf you couldn't hear vocals. Then for Atreyu all you could hear was vocals and no music. The sound was cutting in and out during songs the entire day.

The production & sound crews just decided to take a sh** in Somerset I guess.  Apologies don't bring back time and money. No 2nd stage, short set times, bands getting bumped, horrible sound, horrible production…I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. The sellout crowd of 55,000…oh, wait, sorry. 55,000 is capacity of Float-rite, there were only a meager 9,000-10,000 fans in attendance. So, the 9,000-10,000 fans got boned by this annual production by Korn. Needless to say, I won't be attending another Family Values show – or a Korn show - ever again.
