Smile Empty Soul

DATE: Wednesday, March 28, 2007
VENUE:  The Rock – Maplewood, MN

Smile Empty Soul kicked off their 12-song set with "Out To Sea", the first track off of their new album titled Vultures (thier third album).  If that song didn't get you rockin' your head or tossin' up the devil horns, then the next song "Don't Need You" had to get you rockin'. And if you can't rock to those, well then, you just might be dead – go check your pulse.

Lead singer/guitarist Sean Danielsen screamed his heart out the entire night. When the SoCal band played their huge hit "Bottom of the Bottle" halfway through their set, the entire venue erupted.  I even saw the security guys at the door singing – and you never see the security guys do anything besides be emotionless or beat some ass!

Smile Empty Soul wrapped up in one hour with a fan favorite "Nowhere Kids".  You aren't going to get a great "show" per se when you go to a Smile Empty Soul show. But what you will get is some good music to rock out too– check them out!

The set list from the show was as follows:

Out To Sea
Don't Need You
Adjustments
Silhouettes
Every Sunday
Loser
Bottom of the Bottle
Jesus is the Manager at Walmart
Refill Me
The Hit
The Freaks Are Coming
Nowhere Kids
